Crochet XOXO Valentine's Day Throw Pillow
This year I am feeling like decorating more than usual (maybe because we are still trapped in the house for the most part)…
I needed a quick easy project I could get done over the weekend without a whole lot of thought. This pillow was perfect!
This cute little throw pillow is constructed in 2 flat pieces sewn together, using a simple stitch pattern of alternating double crochet and single crochet to add texture.
For the letters I used the X and O from the Moogly Blog Crochet Alphabet. They were super quick and easy to make. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken to perfect the entire alphabet as they did here but I am thankful for it! Scroll down for the pattern!

Size J crochet hook
Size G crochet hook

XOXO Valentine’s Day Throw Pillow

R2-35: SC in first stitch. * DC in next SC, SC in next DC. Repeat from * across until you have one stitch remaining, DC in last stitch. CH 1, turn.
Fasten off.
Letters:
I used these letters from the Moogly Blog.
With G crochet hook and white worsted weight yarn, make 2 X’s and 2 O’s
Finishing:
Center the letters on one side of the pillow and sew on.
Lay 2 pillow panels down with right sides facing each other (so the pillow is inside out) and sew up around the edges, leaving 5 or 6 inches open so you can turn the pillow right side out.
Stuff to your liking, then sew up the remaining opening.
Optional Tassels (make 4):
If you’re new to making tassels, check out this tutoral!
I used a piece of cardboard about 5 inches in length, and wrapped the pink yarn around it 44 times for each tassel.
Sew onto each corner of the pillow.
